It is observed that not many people are familiar with the “Hong Kong – Guangdong Cleaner Production Partners Recognition Scheme”. Let us introduce it in a simple way!
In April 2008, the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), in collaboration with the Economic and Information Commission of Guangdong Province (now the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province) to launch a Cleaner Production Partnership Programme. Professional advice and technical support is offered to motivate and help Hong Kong-owned factories in Hong Kong and Guangdong Province to embrace cleaner production technologies and practices, aiming to ameliorate the air quality and the regional environment.
To further boost the efforts in promoting cleaner production, the Hong Kong and Guangdong governments jointly launched the “Hong Kong – Guangdong Cleaner Production Partners Recognition Scheme” in August 2009, awarding commendations to those Hong Kong-owned enterprises that actively participated in cleaner production.
Chun Hing has obtained the commendation of the “Hong Kong – Guangdong Cleaner Production Partners Recognition Scheme”. We will continue upholding the principle of cleaner production and minimize the impact on the precious environment during production.
