Canadian Girl discovers Bacteria-Degraded Plastic Technology

Two Chinese girls who discovers bacterial degradation of plastics in Canada – Jeanny Yao from the University of Toronto and Miranda Wang from McGill University won the ‘Canadian Biochemical Technology Challenge’. The technical value assessed by the jury of scientists exceeds 10 million Canadian dollars.

Although this research is a breakthrough, it is still only at the laboratory level. For the application of research in life, more research is still needed. They continue to do research, hoping that the technology development will be smoother.

After that, the two girls were invited to the TED Technology Speech Research Conference, the world’s largest speech stage in California, USA. The 18-year-old Yao was the youngest woman in the speech. What is even more surprising is that Bill Gates, president of Microsoft, and Reilly, one of the founders of Google, both wanted to hear her share their practical experience.
